Seattle Housing Market Update: What the Numbers Mean for You This August
Seattle's housing market moved further toward balance in July, with buyers gaining more choices while sales activity slowed down a bit. Northwest MLS reported 24,888 active listings across the region, a 19.8% increase from last year. That put us at 3.74 months of inventory, closer to the four to six months you'd typically call a balanced market than we've seen in a while.

I put together this guide the way I'd talk you through it over coffee. No rankings, no "hidden gems," just an honest look at what it might actually feel like to live in each of these places.

I understand the instinct. But the math is better than most people think, and the market right now is more interesting than the one we had a few months ago.

The 15 Most Walkable Neighborhoods in Seattle
Seattle is one of the more walkable major cities in the country, but not all neighborhoods are created equal. Some have a Walk Score in the 90s.
